Cobra Basketball Fans, DISTRICT TOURNAMENT UPDATE! The AAA has moved all district, region and state tournaments back one week due to weather. The 7-4A District Tournament will resume this coming week, with games being played on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday (February 23, 25, 27) at the higher seeded teams home court. Games will start at 6:00 pm. Sorry for all the changes to the schedules. We are following the AAA and their guidelines and protocols. Vouchers for the Lady Cobras have been given to the players for their parents. All other vouchers (163) will be available at the gate starting at 5:00 Tuesday.

Cobra Basketball Fans, The AAA has moved all district, region and state tournaments back one week due to weather. The regional tournament will now start March 3. A decision concerning the 7-4A district tournament and how it will now proceed will be discussed tomorrow afternoon when the ADs meet online. As soon as there is more information, I will post asap. 2021 Arkansas Activities Association COVID-19 Basketball Guidelines for Region and State Tournaments COVID-19 Screening Form Workers and Officials. Each school is responsible for their own team and coaching staff. Host responsible for workers and officials. Have a single entrance and exit for workers and officials. Modifications to Scheduled Games: ● Due to COVID-19 protocols, there is a need to create an amended schedule for regional and state tournament games. Three hours has been allocated between game start times. ○ The schedule of games at each regional and state tournament site shall be as follows: ■ 10:00 AM ■ 1:00 PM ■ 4:00 PM ■ 7:00PM The schedule allows facilities: ○ Time for proper cleaning between games. Cleaning areas should include, benches, locker rooms, playing surfaces, scorer’s table, concession stand, etc. ○ To abide by social distancing guidelines for teams. ○ To monitor crowd control and practice social distancing for spectators. It allows time for the prior game’s team/fans to vacate the facility prior to the start of the next game which will help limit exposure. Facility Modifications ● Family groups must be spaced 6 feet apart. ● Everyone inside the facility is required to wear a mask at all times, (i.e. players, spectators, managers, coaches, workers, statisticians and media) unless they are actively participating (on the court participating in the game). ● Have a separate entrance and exit point for each playing area (facility). General Regional and State Tournament Information Regional and State Tournament Tickets GoFan.co - This event is a mobile entry event--tickets must be presented on a smart phone for entry. Printed tickets will not be accepted. Gates will open one hour before each scheduled game or at the conclusion of the previous game once the facility has been cleared and cleaned. Both participating teams will be sent a private link with half the allotted tickets to their game. Both teams will have time to send this link to their parents and fans before these tickets will be opened to the general public. For more information on using GoFan >> https://www.aractivities.org/tickets. AAA Pass The AAA Pass will be honored for coaches and administrators that are working during their team’s games. At all other times the AAA Pass will be honored if the gym has capacity as determined by the host school in conjunction with ADH Guidelines. Regional and State Tournament Filming or Videotaping Live Streaming/Broadcasting without permission from the AAA is prohibited. Filming or videotaping for personal use is acceptable as long as all facility rules are followed. Only credential media or approved broadcasting groups should be allowed on the floor in filming areas. Schools can only film their own games. No third party filming. Pass Gate - Admit coaches, managers, bus drivers, spirit teams, coaches’, and players of competing teams when arriving as a group. The earliest teams should arrive for their game would be 1 hour. Sportsmanship - Regional and State Basketball Tournaments Basketball Finals (Highlights from AAA Sportsmanship Manual) Spectators Engage in positive encouragement and support of their team without being rude, negative or derogatory to opponents. Demonstrate respect and appreciation for game officials and the difficulty of the jobs they perform for our schools. Shall not wear full face paint or mask. Small logos or insignias are allowed. Shall not wear derogatory or suggestive slogans on apparel. Stay off the playing area. Shall not participate in negative, demeaning, or obscene yells. Show respect for public property and equipment. Must wear shirts. No bare chests are permitted. Shall not throw any objects on the playing area. Indoor Venues School controlled sound systems and school controlled noisemakers shall be restricted to pregame, between quarters, halftime, postgame and timeouts. The use of artificial noisemakers is not allowed. No handheld signs, balloons, poms, towels, megaphones, etc. are allowed.

Cobra Basketball Fans, The 7-4A Athletic Directors met via Zoom this morning, Thursday, February 18, 2021 to discuss the District Tournament. The vote was in favor of playing only the next group of games to finalize the 3 and 4 seeds into the Regional Tournament next week in Star City. The Fountain Lake SG are now scheduled to play the Arkadelphia SG on Monday, February 22 AT Fountain Lake starting at 5:00 pm. Players have their original vouchers which will be honored. The rest of the vouchers (163) will be available at the gate starting at 4:00 on Monday before the game on a first come, first serve basis. Please continue to check for any changes that may occur.

Due to the current weather conditions and forecast for this week, Fountain Lake Schools will not meet for face to face classes Tuesday, February 16 through Friday, February 19. Students should check SeeSaw or Google Classroom each day for assignments and scheduled class meetings. WEATHER PERMITTING - STAY TUNED FOR CHANGES IF WARRANTED Because of no school on Monday, Two Parent vouchers per participant will be handed out to participant’s parents on Sunday, February 14 with general admission vouchers available on MONDAY, February 15 FROM 8:00 am – 10:00 am ONLY. ANY LEFTOVER VOUCHERS WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE GATE. Participants can obtain vouchers for their respective parents without the parents coming on campus. Vouchers will be traded in for tickets at only one gate at the front of the gym. Tickets are $5 each and the gate will open at 5:00. Cobra Basketball Fans, 7-4A Tournament Information and Brackets The Senior Girls and the Senior Boys will be playing in the 7-4A District Tournament the week of February 13-20. Due to the pandemic, all games will be played at the higher seeded team’s home court with all games starting at 6:00 pm. The girl’s bracket is set for Saturday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The boy’s bracket is set for Saturday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. The Senior Girls finished as the #3 seed, while the Senior Boys finished #1 with the top seed in the tournament. ***With the chance of inclement weather, the tournament dates and times may get changed throughout the week. Cobra Basketball Fans, Weather permitting, Fountain Lake will host Hope on Thursday, February 11 in SG, SB basketball starting at 6:00. The gate will open at 5:00. Due to Fountain Lake going virtual on Thursday, all remaining vouchers will be at the gate on a first come first serve basis starting at 5:00. Vouchers are still available until 3:30 today, Wednesday, February 10. At this time, only 30 vouchers remain for Fountain Lake fans. Due to the weather, please stay tuned for any changes.

Due to impending inclement weather, Fountain Lake will pivot to a digital learning day on Thursday, February 11, 2021. Devices will be sent home with students today for digital learning tomorrow. Students and staff will not report to campus on Thursday. Any scheduled Parent Teacher Conferences will need to be conducted remotely. Please contact the teachers to schedule a remote conference. Please remember that there will not be school on Friday or Monday, February 12 and 15.
