Congratulations to Caleb Herring and Khai Nobles. They have been selected to represent FLCHS and Hot Springs Village Rotary Club at Camp RYLA in April. Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) is an intensive training program for community youth leaders. Talented young people attend an all-expense-paid seminar, camp or workshop, organized and run by Rotarians with records of achievement.
Congratulations to Yessenia Morales! She has earned the Arkansas Seal of Biliteracy for demonstrating proficiency in English and Spanish by high school graduation.
The Seal of Biliteracy is now recognized in 49 states and Washington D.C. and can be evidence of skills that are attractive to future employers and college
admissions offices. The Arkansas Seal of Biliteracy is awarded each spring and fall to students in grades 9 through 12 and is sponsored by the Arkansas Foreign Language Teachers Association (AFLTA) and the Arkansas Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (ARKTESOL) and endorsed by the Arkansas Department of Education. Way to go Yessi! We are proud of you!
