The following information is based on the newest CDC guidelines. Governor Asa Hutchinson has announced that Arkansas is adopting the following guidelines- effective immediately.
- Quarantine can end after Day 10 without testing and without symptoms.
- Quarantine can end after Day 7 if a close contact tests negative and if no symptoms occurred. The test must be taken no sooner than a full 5 days after exposure; however, quarantine will remain in effect until after Day 7.
- If at any time someone is in quarantine due to a close contact and begins developing symptoms, they should immediately get tested for COVID-19 and isolate- even if they previously had a negative test during their current quarantine. Please note that the two options above only apply to those who have no symptoms.
