Middle School

Middle School 5th & 6th grade will be going on a field trip on Wednesday (March 30th) to the Arkansas Symphony Guild Children’s Concert, when we return from spring break. Permission slips are going home today, and must be returned in order for students to attend the field trip. Students will not be permitted to call the day of the field trip for permission, so all permission slips must be brought to school by the 30th.

The Middle School Awards Assembly for the 3rd nine weeks of school will be this Friday, March 18th, in the high school auditorium during your child’s enrichment time: -5th 11:20-12:06 -6th 2:37-3:20 -7th 1:48-2:33 -8th 12:59-1:44 Students will be recognized for academic honor roll as well as positive behavior. Parents are welcome to come. There will be a sign in sheet at the auditorium for you to sign, if you choose to attend.

Tomorrow is Election Day for the Fountain Lake School District. Voting locations are at Safe Room A on campus, Community Baptist Church, or USA Storage. Polls open at 7:30 am and close at 7:30 pm. Every vote counts, every vote matters. Make sure you vote on election day.

Tonight there are 7th, 8th, and Junior Girls basketball games at Malvern starting at 5:00pm. There are also 8th and Junior Boys games at home tonight against Malvern starting at 5:30. The scheduled 7th grade boys game has been postponed. Saturday's 7th grade jamboree at Malvern has been cancelled.

Reminder that the 7, 8, and Jr High girls basketball games against Malvern will be at home tonight, and the 7, 8 and Jr High boys games against Malvern are at Malvern.

Arkansas DOT has closed our main entrance for this afternoon's pickup. Afternoon high school traffic will enter and exit through the admin entrance. Afternoon middle school traffic will enter normally, but drivers will exit by following Campus Drive around the elementary and exiting via Cobra Drive. Elementary pick up is unaffected. Thank you for your patience!

On Tuesday, the Jr. Beta Club attended the Arkansas Leadership Summit. The following students qualified for the national competition in Lead Outside the Box: Abby Burden, Sophie Wyatt, Nathan Topf, and Mason Hargrove. The following students qualified for the national competition in Collaboration Connection: Addy Blees, John Hardin, Judah Morgan, Julie Richardson, Natalie Topf, and Isac Wilhite.

Fountain Lake Middle School is now offering after school tutoring on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 P.M. - 4:30 P.M.

Applications for the second session of the FACES after school program are due on Friday, October 8th. All Fountain Lake students in grades K-6th are eligible to enroll in this free after school program. The second session runs from October 26th - December 16th.

All Fountain Lake band members and their families are welcome to join us for Band Family Fun Night on Tuesday, October 5th @ 6:00 P.M.

Saturday’s 3rd and 6th grade peewee football games have been cancelled. The 4th and 5th grade games are still on and, the day’s games will begin at 10:00.
