August 2020 We are so excited to welcome all FL elementary students onsite and virtually this 20-21 school year. It is going be a great year where, no matter what, FLES Supports Every Student Every Day! I can’t wait to see all our precious students soon! Below is the important information you need to know about this upcoming year. School Starts Monday, August 24th. You will be contacted by phone from your child’s teacher to tell you what class they are in and about what they are doing for Open House this year. Class lists will be posted on the K-1 and 2-4 office doors on Friday, August 14th at 3 pm. Morning Transportation: Car riders can be dropped off beginning at 7:30 am. Bus riders will unload at each building beginning at 7:40 am. Afternoon Transportation: Car riders will be dismissed from 2:45 - 3:30 on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Car riders will be dismissed from 1:45 - 2:30 on Wednesdays. Bus riders will be dismissed at 3:20 on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Bus riders will be dismissed at 2:10 on Wednesdays. FACES after school program will begin September 8th. Look for the application in your child’s backpack. K-1 parking lot is closed for the bus unloading zone from 7:00 - 3:30. Parent parking is available by Safe Room A. Any daily transportation changes will need to be sent through a written note to your child’s teacher or you may call the office before 1 pm each day. PreK students must be dropped off and picked up in the car line each day. Bus transportation is not provided. All communication with teachers this year will be through an app called Seesaw. You will receive instructions from your child’s teacher on how to connect the first week of school. The Administration will communicate through our FL Cobras App. Please download this app and subscribe to Elementary Notifications. Elementary new student registration is Tuesday, July 28 and Wednesday, July 29 from 8:30-2:30 in the K-1 office. Please remain in your car and call 701-1708 and the secretaries will give you instructions. Due to COVID guidelines we will only allow one family in the foyer at a time. Kindergarten Registration Is Now Open Registration is now available online for the 2020-2021 school year. This is for any new students and students entering kindergarten. You can provide those on July 28-29 when we have registration at the elementary office.
