Happy School Nurse's Day to our wonderful nurses and Health Center staff! We appreciate everything you do to take care of our students and staff every day!
This week is Teacher Appreciation Week and we could not let the week get away without telling each of our amazing staff members how much they are loved and appreciated! We could not do everything we do for your students without every FLES staff member on this list. If you have the chance this week, let them know how great they are!!

The 2024 Pee Wee Girls Basketball camp was a huge success. We had a great turn out and the kids had a lot of fun throughout the camp. I would like to thank all of my players who participated and helped during the camp, Coach Willis, Morgan Wallace and Kerri Carter for making the T-Shirts and all of the parents who allowed us to have the opportunity to coach and get to know your children. The show of support will only help our program to grow. Thank you and Go Cobras!
Summer Electronic Benefits Transfer, or Summer EBT, will help close the summer hunger gap when kids are on summer break and not receiving nutritious school meals. Summer EBT provides grocery-buying benefits to low-income families with school-aged children when schools are closed for the summer.
Summer EBT benefits will come in the form of pre-loaded cards that families can use to purchase groceries.
Starting summer 2024, families will receive $120 per eligible child. These benefits work together with other available FNS nutrition assistance programs, such as summer meal sites, SNAP, and WIC, to help ensure kids have consistent access to critical nutrition when school is out.
If your child received free or reduced price meals at Fountain Lake, you should receive your card in July at the address on record with the school. DHS will send the cards. If you did not apply for free or reduced priced meals during the school year, you may still qualify.
