Daddy Daughter Dance is tonight from 5-7pm in the elementary and high school cafeteria!
Please enter at Fason Drive, past Sonic, by the K-1 building.
The K-1, Safe Room A, and upper parking lots are cleared and dry.
You will come to the elementary entrance at the preschool doors and enter there then walk down the hallway to the cafeteria.
See you soon!
Good afternoon. As of now, the Daddy Daughter dance is still planned to take place tomorrow. Temperatures have warmed and there seems to be some melting and we are hoping that it will melt some more tomorrow. Hope to see you all there!
To assure the safety of our students and staff, Fountain Lake School District will not have in-person classes on Friday, February 4, 2022. Students will have virtual AMI Day #5. We will continue with virtual instruction.
Due to potential weather issues, the Fountain Lake School District will pivot to virtual instruction on Thursday, February 3, 2022. No decision has been made about Friday at this time.
Devices will be sent home this afternoon with elementary students. Teachers will be communicating virtual work and Google Meets as we did a few weeks ago. At this time, the Daddy Daughter dance is still planned to take place if the weather is warmer. If something changes, I will let everyone know.
We appreciate your cooperation and understanding!
Stay safe and warm!
The congregation of the Village United Methodist Church provided two boxes of new socks and a sack of treasure box toys for our kids.
We appreciate this donation and your support for FLES! 💜
Good Morning,
I wanted to make everyone aware that we had a bus accident this morning at the intersection of Cobra Drive and Fox Pass at approximately 7:40 am. Bus # 14 on Route 11 was involved in a single-car accident. The bus driver was Chris Mungle. He was a substitute driver for Jay Shapiro's regular route.
The driver of the other vehicle was transported by emergency services and our students and driver were checked out at the scene and were transported to the cafeteria on another bus where all students were evaluated with our nurses and clinic personnel. Parents were contacted and students were released to parents to go home or sent to class.
I would like to thank all support staff personnel for doing a great job this morning on the scene and evaluating students.
Dr. Murphy, Superintendent
So proud of the elementary staff and students for their hard work, commitment and preparedness during our pivot to virtual learning. Thank you to our wonderful parents for their support and understanding! Proud to be a Cobra! 💜

Pat Muzika with Faith Lutheran Church in HSV brought 53 new pairs of shoes and some socks for elementary and middle school. She heard a neighbor say they were buying shoes for their child’s friend that needed new shoes but couldn’t afford them. It was a middle school student here at FL. So she went to her church snd got it approved to spend $1,200 on shoes for our shoe cabinets. So nice!
We appreciate her kindness and generosity! 💜

Thank you to HSV Kiwanis Club for collecting 🎾 tennis rackets and balls for our after school FACES program! We appreciate it so much!
We want to extend a huge thank you to Olen Barham, Keith Smith Company and Nutra Blend for their very generous donation of $4,000 to FL!
The monetary donation was organized by Olen Barham who is pictured with our elementary counselor, Mrs. Davis, and was made by Keith Smith Company who he works for. Nutra Blend, who is one of Keith Smith Company's vendors, donated the items to be auctioned off in the Drive to Feed Kids program. The total was nearly $4,000 donated to our backpack program on behalf of these two companies and their campaign to help feed kids. Olen has two kids in our district, Brady and Cammie, and wanted to help the less fortunate kids in Fountain Lake School so he handpicked our school for this fundraiser.
A huge thank you to Judy Bryant and First Pentecostal Church for the donation of shoes for our students. We greatly appreciate their support for Fountain Lake every year! 💜
