The Fountain Lake Senior High Girls Basketball Team faced Waldron on January 27, 2023. The game resulted in a win for the Lady Cobras with a final score of 66-22. The leading scorers for the game were Paige Davis with 16 points, Mary Drakes with 15 points, Kara Martin with 11 points, and Lainey Mungle with 9 points. The game started quickly with a 48 point lead at halftime leading to the ultimate victory over the Bulldogs. Coach Matt Carter said, “It’s always nice to get a win like this. I thought the kids played hard and seemed to be having fun. Hopefully we can gain some momentum from the past week to carry us through the end of the season.” The Fountain Lake Player of the Game was Mary Drakes with her game play and 15 points.
