On September 15, 2023, Fountain Lake Junior High Football traveled to Ashdown. Fountain Lake won 26-12. Asher Nedabylek had 13 carries for 101 yards and 1 touchdown. Peyton Harwood had 10 carries for 101 yards and 3 touchdowns and 5 receptions for 48 yards. Cooper Buss was 8/16 passing for 65 yards and 4 carries for 37 yards rushing. Preston Harness had 3 receptions for 18 yards and 3 tackles and 1 interception. Cole George had 3 tackles and 1 interception. Cooper Buss, Aidan Ault, Peyton Harwood, and Elijah Childs each had 7 tackles. Coach Justin McArthur said, “This was a big conference win on the road for us. The kids overcame a lot and showed a lot of fight and resolve.” The Fountain Lake Players of the Game were Preston Harness, Peyton Harwood, and Asher Nedabylek. They will meet at Mena on September 22, 2023.
